Unni Mukundan
Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan has landed in legal trouble following accusations of physical and verbal abuse by his former manager, Vipin Kumar. According to a report by Mathrubhumi, the manager filed a formal complaint with the Info Park Police in Kochi after receiving medical treatment for injuries allegedly caused by the actor.
Vipin Kumar alleged that Mukundan assaulted him and used offensive language. Police sources confirmed that the manager sought hospital treatment before filing the complaint. A detailed statement has been recorded, but no formal case has been registered yet. Authorities also noted that the relationship between the two had been strained for some time.
An additional report by Asianet revealed that the incident reportedly occurred at Vipin’s flat in Kochi. In his complaint, the manager claimed that the assault happened after he posted a photo of another actor on Facebook, which allegedly triggered the altercation. As of now, Unni Mukundan has not released any public statement or clarification regarding the matter.
This is not the first time Unni Mukundan has been involved in legal issues. In 2018, he was accused of sexual harassment by a woman who claimed that he molested her during a meeting at his Edappally residence, where they were supposed to discuss a film project. Mukundan denied the allegations, calling them fabricated and motivated by an extortion attempt.
The case was eventually dismissed by the Kerala High Court in 2023 after the complainant informed the court that the matter had been resolved through a mutual settlement.
Unni Mukundan began his acting career in 2011 with the Tamil film Seedan, but rose to fame through his work in Malayalam cinema. He gained widespread popularity following the success of his 2024 film Marco. Most recently, he appeared in Get-Set Baby and is currently working on his next project, Mindiyum Paranjum.
