Pankaj Tripathi
Since its debut, Criminal Justice has become a cornerstone of Indian OTT entertainment, blending legal drama with edge-of-your-seat thrill. The series, known for its layered characters and gripping narratives, is now back with its much-anticipated fourth season. Led once again by the ever-brilliant Pankaj Tripathi as advocate Madhav Mishra, Criminal Justice Season 4 will stream exclusively on Jio Hotstar (formerly Disney+ Hotstar) starting May 22, 2025.
Fans of the series will rejoice as Pankaj Tripathi steps back into the shoes of Madhav Mishra — the scruffy, sharp, and surprisingly emotional lawyer who takes on cases others wouldn't touch. In a recent press note, Tripathi shared his deep emotional bond with the character:
“Criminal Justice feels like a homecoming to me... Madhav isn't just a character I play, he's someone I carry with me.”
Known for blending humor with heart, Mishra’s character has resonated across seasons, and this time, he’s back with another tangled mystery that blurs the line between truth and perception.
Joining Tripathi in this season is a powerful ensemble including Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, Mita Vashisht, Asha Negi, Shweta Basu Prasad, Khushboo Atre, and Barkha Singh. The teaser, which dropped recently, hints at a torrid love affair, a mysterious murder, and Zeeshan’s character caught in a web of suspicion. With stakes higher than ever, Madhav Mishra must unravel a case where emotions run deep and truth is buried beneath lies.
Director Rohan Sippy, who helms this new chapter, praised Tripathi's unmatched portrayal and said, “Pankaj has made Madhav Mishra such an unforgettable character. This season brings in a powerful new cast, shaping a unique legal dramatic thriller that audiences will really engage with.”
Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India, Criminal Justice continues to evolve with each season, and Season 4 promises to be the most intense and emotionally gripping yet.
