  • Samantha Ruth Prabhu was scolded by the Hyderabad court for filing a case against YouTube channels.
  • The arrest of Aryan Khan and questioning of Ananya, Nora, and Jacqueline indicate that no one is above law.

There has been a popular belief in India that those who are famous and powerful can always evade the law. When Salman Khan was proved innocent in the hit and run case, this misconception got further confirmed for many. But time seems to be changing now as many big actors and actresses both from Bollywood as well as the Southern film industry are getting reprimanded, probed, and scolded.

The example of Thalapathy Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu indicates that no one is above law. Samantha a few days ago filed a case against a few YouTube channels for allegedly streaming malicious content about her. Surprisingly, instead of punishing the YouTube channel owners, Hyderabad’s Kukatpally court instead slammed Sam and schooled the 34-year-old actress in strong words.

The court said that the celebrities share all their personal details on their social media pages and then file for defamation cases. Instead, the court added Samantha should seek an apology from the opponents. Thalapathy Vijay was also slammed by the court in 2012 when he requested an exemption on Entry Tax for his Rolls Royce Ghost car imported from the UK. Rather the court made him pay Rs 1 lakh to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.

Coming to Bollywood, the Aryan Khan’s arrest was a big surprise to all the members of the Hindi film industry. What has been more shocking is that despite all his name and power Shah Rukh Khan has been unable to get bail for his eldest son despite recruiting the topmost names for the legal process. If the son of Bollywood’s Badshah Khan has to remain in custody for more than 20 days then it does indicate that law is equal for everyone.

Ananya Panday’s chats with Aryan Khan related to drug use have also put her in a soup. She has been called twice for questioning and will again appear on Monday for the same. Importantly, B-town actresses are used to being late and waiting for on the sets. But when she appeared late twice for questioning at the NCB office, Sameer Wankhede lambasted her for getting late which points out that being beautiful, powerful, and famous do not always protect you from the wrath of the law if you are at the wrong end.

Jacqueline Fernandez has been avoiding appearing for questioning in the money laundering case. However, due to persistent pressure and to avoid arrest she finally appeared before the ED and gave her statement. She is being questioned in a 200-crore money laundering case that involves Sukesh Chandrashekhar and his wife Leena Maria Paul. Lawyer of Sukhesh has said that his client was dating the Kick actress which Jacqueline has vehemently denied.

Sukesh has also said that he has gifted a luxurious car to Saki Saki dancer Nora Fatehi which he bought using the extortion money. During her questioning session with ED, Nora said that she was invited by Sukesh and his wife for an event but is not part of the money laundering case.
