Anupam Kher
Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently turned an unexpected misadventure into comic gold while shooting for his upcoming film with superstar Prabhas in Hyderabad. In a now-viral video shared on his Instagram, the seasoned actor narrated how his car took a detour into what he hilariously described as a “jungle,” forcing him to climb a wall—yes, literally to reach the film set.
Clad in a white T-shirt, grey trousers, and a cap, Kher looked amused as he stood near his stuck car, surrounded by thick greenery. “Aaj mera driver shooting ke liye raste bhool gaya... jungle mein le aaya,” he said with a chuckle, showing how a wrong turn led him to a dead-end. With the set visible just across a wall, the only solution was to scale it.
As he narrated the incident in his trademark witty style, crew members appeared on the other side with a chair and ladder to help him climb over. “Dekho, kya kya karna padta hai iss profession ke liye!” Kher quipped, climbing the wall with surprising ease. Upon reaching the other side, he was welcomed with laughter and applause.
Sharing the video, the actor wrote, “Iss taraf se uss taraf! In my 40 years of cinema journey, I’ve entered sets in different ways—but today was truly comical.”
Currently shooting for the yet-to-be-titled film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this marks Anupam’s 544th project. He is also gearing up for his directorial Tanvi The Great, releasing on July 18.
Looks like even after 40 years in cinema, Anupam Kher’s entry scenes still steal the spotlight—on and off screen!
