Kishore Kumar Biopic: Not Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan to step into legendary singer's shoes!

Legendary singer, musician and actor Kishore Kumar is regarded as one of the most influential personalities in the Indian music industry. Not just his professional journey, Kishore Da's personal life was no less than a movie plot. It was confirmed that renowned filmmaker Anurag Basu will bring Kishore Da's life to the screen. While earlier speculations were rife that Ranbir Kapoor might essay the role of the legendary musician, a recent report claims that Aamir Khan might step into his shoes in Kishore Kumar Biopic.

As per a report by Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan and Anurag Basu have been discussing the Kishore Kumar Biopic which will be produced under Bhushan Kumar's T-Series.

The entertainment portal quoted a close source to the development as saying, "Kishore Kumar Biopic is subject close to the heart of Anurag Basu and Bhushan Kumar and they are looking to bring it to the spectacle in the best possible way."

The source further added that Aamir is a big admirer of the legendary singer and loved the vision that Basu has to bring the life of the legend to the big screen.

Reportedly, Aamir and Basu have had four to five meetings on the subject and things are falling into the right place.

As per the latest reports, Aamir has wrapped Sitaare Zameen Par and has as many as six films in consideration. He will take a call on his immediate next by the end of this year. Well, if things materialise, Aamir might step into the shoes of the legendary singer. Notably, this is not the first time Basu has approached Aamir with a film. During the pandemic, Basu had plans for a two-hero film with Aamir and Ranbir. However, things didn't fall into place at that time.

As per earlier reports, Basu has plans to commence shooting the Kishore Kumar Biopic in 2025 after wrapping Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri's untitled flick. 

However, fans need to wait for an official confirmation from the filmmakers or the actor.
