Kriti Sanon and Kiara Advani are today some of the most popular actresses in Bollywood. Until a few years ago, it was all about Alia Bhatt taking the Banton of number one from Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. But these two young girls have made sure that their name is in the top 5 when it comes to listing the best among the young actresses in B-town.
Kiara, who started with a not-so-successful debut with Fugly, has over the last few years have become a star in her own right. Apart from working with big superstars like Akshay Kumar in Laxmii and Good Newws and Shahid Kapoor in Kabir Singh, she also made headlines for movies like Indoo Ki Jawani in which she was the only star.
Kiara's recent OTT release with Sidharth Malhotra-Shershaah has escalated her stardom a notch higher. With some very good lineup like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Kartik Aaryan and Jug Jugg Jeeyo with Varun Dhawan, Kiara is all set to go higher and higher. Like Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt, Kiara is also doing a Southern biggie with Power Star Ram Charan.
Another outsider from Bollywood, Kriti Sanon has surprisingly become a raging star in the last couple of years. She debuted opposite Tiger Shroff with Heropanti but unlike Tiger, it took her a bit more time to become a big star.
While her medium-budget movies like Bareily Ki Barfi, Hum Do Humare Do did contribute to her career in a big way, it was only after she starred in Luka Chuppi with Kartik Aaryan and Varun Dhawan and Shah Rukh Khan-led Dilwale that Kriti started getting recognition.
Although her big movie with Arjun Kapoor-Panipat tanked at the box office, her releases like Housefull 4 and Mimi have helped her grab ranking among the best in Bollywood divas.
Apart from Bhediya with Varun Dhawan and Ganapath with Tiger Shroff, the Paramsundari of B-town will also be seen in Om Raut’s Adipurush opposite Prabhas as Sita.
Considering the way, star kids like Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday got the movies without much struggle, the way Kiara and Kriti have managed to become more successful is something that is highly praiseworthy.
And it also proves that irrespective of your background, it is only your talent that can help you survive, sustain and thrive in Bollywood.
