Director Prashanth Neel is currently riding on the success of KGF Chapter 2. The magnum opus KGF franchise has created a unique identity for the Kannada Film Industry (KFI) across the globe, all thanks to Neel, Yash and Hombale Films.
While Neel is busy shooting his upcoming flick Salaar starring Prabhas and Shruti Haasan in the lead, the helmer and writer recently announced about teaming up with Jr NTR on the latter's birthday.
Tentatively titled as NTR31, the movie will be an action-packed film just like the KGF series and Salaar. Even the caption for the post suggests so.

Neel also updated his Twitter masthead with an intriguing collage poster featuring Yash, Prabhas & Jr NTR. While KGF 2 is currently running in theatres, Salaar is in the making and NTR31 has been recently announced.
However, many have started speculating that the maker has plans of creating a 'multiverse' just like the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Earlier, reports claimed that the founder of Hombale Films Vijay Kiragandur Hombale made an announcement that the makers have plans to create a Marvel-style franchise of KGF. And, after Neel updated his Twitter masthead, it reignited the speculations.
Several have opined that earlier it was the production house/banner or the producer who came up with a franchise of movies, but, Neel would change the trend and become the first director to create a multiverse.
However, the fact is, KGF series was produced under Hombale Films banner and the same production house is also producing Salaar. But, the recently announced NTR31 will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.
Mythri banner has a rich history of producing several blockbuster movies including Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage, Rangasthalam, Uppena and the recent releases like Pushpa: The Rise, Mathu Vadalara and Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
While several movie lovers have confidently expressed that KGF and Salaar could be a part of the multiverse, the rumour-mongers have certainly heightened the anticipation among movie lovers.
Several fan-based analyses also are storming the social media claiming link of Prabhas' upcoming Salaar with KGF. Though there is no official reports about the same, fans have been speculating the same.
Even as all eyes are on KGF Chapter 3, the makers haven't yet updated about it apart from executive producer Karthik Gowda's tweet that hints at KGF 3's confirmation.
If the rumours are taken into consideration, KGF and Salaar might have some connection or at least, Rocky could make a special appearance in the Prabhas starrer. But, Jr NTR won't be a part of the multiverse.
First of all, NTR31 will be produced under Mythri banner which is also working on Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rule after producing Pushap: The Rise. So, it is not convincible that Mythri will team up with Hombale Films for NTR31 in terms of business and competition.
However, the makers can only clarify the confusion and bring clarity if Jr NTR, Prabhas and Yash will be seen together in a single movie or KGF, Salaar and NTR31 are really connected in any way.
