KGF Chapter 2, scheduled to release on April 14, is one of the most highly-anticipated movies in the entire Indian cine industry. After multiple postponements owing to the Covid pandemic, the makers of the film dropped the official trailer of the flick at 6.40 pm on Sunday to level up the excitement to pitch fever. And, it is needless to say that the trailer has unfolded many facets driving the fans even crazier.
Hombale Films organised a mega event last evening which was graced by several biggies from different regional cine industries apart from the entire KGF team including Sanjay Dutt, and Raveena Tandon.
While Karan Johar hosted the event, it began with paying tribute to late Kannada actor Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar, who passed away on October 29 last year.
KGF: Chapter 2' has been written and directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, under the banner of Hombale Films.

KGF Chapter 2 Trailer Review, What Can You Expect
As seen in the trailer, the most-expected sequel of KGF has more violence, and action sequences. The trailer begins with Prakash Raj as Vijayendra Ingalgi continuing the story of El Dorado from where Anand Ingalagi (Anant Nag) had left.
He begins with a statement, "The story is written in blood, it can't continue with ink. If it has to continue, it has to be only with blood."
This is something expected by everyone that KGF 2 story will be more brutal than its prequel. The peppy soundtrack even gives goose bumps as the trailer of the high-octane action movie continues.
The next scene showcases Ramika Sen initiating her action with intention of destroying 'someone'. This 'someone' could be Rocky Bhai or Adheera or Inayath Khalil. However, Rocky could be the prime target of Ramika. The next scene shows the entry of fierce Adheera, with looks more intimidating and cruel than Garuda who believes battle and spilling blood, is a part of progress. Adheera also believes that corpses of dead are even useful.
After the introductory phrase for Rocky Bhai, Yash enters the screen talking about violence and violence.
"I don't like it... I avoid.. but violence likes me! I can't avoid," says Rocky. Meanwhile, the action sequences running on the screen hints at big action scenes which could be a part of building his empire.
Adheera descends to India to reclaim KGF after learning about Rocky taking over Narachi and the gold mines. The tussle between Adheera and Rocky will certainly be a treat to watch.
However, Rocky's statement, "I don't need anyone's friendship," with the entry of Reena has levelled up speculations if Rocky and Reena will unite or not. Even though Reena is seen in Narachi in the teaser, and several incidents from the prequel confirms her inclination towards Rocky, it remains to be seen whether they will ever meet.
Towards the end, both Adheera and Rocky are seen drenched in blood which indicates that the clash between the duo shall be vicious beyond everyone's expectation. Did Adheera win over Rocky or was slashed like Garuda? Did Adheera and Inayath join hands to take on Rocky together? If yes, what happened to Inayath? All such speculations are spell-binding.
Lastly, Kiddo Rocky promised her mother to bring her gold from all around the world. Certainly, Rocky Bhai will keep his promise but will it cost him huge!
KGF Chapter 2 Trailer Launch Event
The trailer in multiple languages was launched by Ram Charan, Farhan Akhtar and others as per plans.
Following the end of the trailer, Rocking Star Yash was greeted by all present at the event.
Raveena and Sanju baba addressed the guests and shared their experiences of sharing screen space with Yash and working in KGF.
However, KGF helmer Prashanth Neel came on the stage to spill beans about Srinidhi Shetty.
"Srinidhi has got a much bigger role this time. You are gonna see a different side, Neel said and remained silent without disclosing further. He thanked one and all including the actors for being a part of KGFVerse.
Next, it was Rocking Star Yash's turn who stepped onto the stage with huge applause from the crowd. Yash welcomed everyone to Bengaluru and thanked his co-stars for becoming a part of his movie. He shared a few of his personal experiences from the shooting sets and what he learned from everyone.
Even Yash's wife and actress Radhika Pandit joined Karan on the stage to express her experience amid the KGF journey.
At last, the KGF Chapter 2 team participated in a media briefing.

The countdown has begun with only 16 days left for KGF Chapter 2 release. Even, advanced ticket bookings have begun in several southern states. As stated by the producer, the movie will be releasing across around 6000 theatres.
