Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turns 49 today. However, her charm and beauty still continue to date leaving several other young actresses behind. Now it seems, B Town’s Chikini Chameli aka Katrina Kaif is quite influenced and inspired by Aish. Recently Kat expressed her desires which seem to be an inspiration taken from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Recently, both Katrina and Aishwarya were captured on cameras together in a single frame when they graced the pre-Diwali bash hosted by ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra.

Many got startled as Aishwarya was Salman Khan’s girlfriend and Katrina was rumoured of being in a relationship with the Tiger 3 actor, and the duo never came together at any event.

The buzz of Salman and Katrina got buried after the latter tied the knot with Vicky Kaushal. This indeed cleared the way for Dhoom 3 actress to befriend the Dhoom 2 actress. After sharing a single frame, now Katrina has stunned many after expressing her desire to foray into the south film industry.

Yes, you heard it right.

Currently, Katrina Kaif is busy with promotions of her forthcoming movie Phone Bhoot, also starring Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi, scheduled to hit theatres on Nov 4. It seems, after leaving a mark in Bollywood and the hearts of Hindi movie lovers, the Welcome actress is eyeing to draw the attention of south moviemakers and bag projects in the south industry.

During the promotions, when she was asked if she would work in south films, Kat said, "If ever there’s a script which is compelling enough and has a strong character, language won’t be a barrier for me. We have some phenomenal directors working in south India."

Several A-listed actresses from Bollywood have tried their luck in the South industry and have succeeded in leaving a mark in south Indian movies.

Needless to mention, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, apart from her outstanding career in Bollywood, also has earned fame in regional industries. Moreover, she hogged the headlines recently following the phenomenal success of the Tamil flick, Ponniyin Selvan: 1, also starring Chiyan Vikram, Karthi, and Trisha Krishnan among others.

Continuing her statement, Kat heaped praises on Aish’s PS-I, helmed by Mani Ratnam. Kaif said, "The best and the most recent example is Mani Ratnam sir’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan: 1’. Such an amazing film, na? Such grandeur, beautiful frames and music. To make a film on such a big scale at this stage in his life, proves the mettle of an iconic director."

Well, if Kat bags a south Indian movie, it won't be her first project in the South film industry. The Tiger Zinda Hai actress earlier featured in Telugu flicks like 2004’s Malliswari and 2005’s Allari Pidugu. She also starred in a Malayalam movie titled Balram vs. Tharadas. Well, time will say if Kat makes it big in South film industries like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or not.

On the work front, apart from her forthcoming Phone Bhoot, Katrina Kaif has Tiger 3 in the pipeline, scheduled to release on April 21, 2023. The movie also stars Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi in the lead. Tiger 3 is the third installment of the Tiger franchise. Moreover, the excitement among all is high for Tiger 3 as King of Romance will have an extended cameo in the movie as Pathaan, which is SRK’s upcoming movie included in YRF’s Spy Universe.
