Katrina Kaif Pairs With Vijay Sethupati For Next Flick; What Can You Expect

Newly-wed actress Katrina Kaif, who is currently busy with Tiger 3, opposite Salman Khan, has once again made it to the headlines with the announcement of her upcoming flick.

Kat tied the knots with Vicky Kaushal on December 9 and post the wedding she became a social media sensation as every now and then pictures of the lovely couple started making rounds on social media. Post the wedding, pictures from her honeymoon destination also took the internet by storm. And now Kat is all set for her upcoming, Tiger 3, which is the third instalment of the spy action-thriller flick.

Recently, Salman and Katrina shared a video on their social media handles that gave glimpses of the duo from the movie. While Kat is seen in action with a knife in her hands along with the stunt team, 'Tiger' (Salman) emerges from the bench after uncovering his face from the stole following a prompt by Zoya.

Apart from that, fans are well aware that Katrina has been finalised for another flick. But, the unique strategy of the makers will leave her fans in splits.

Yes, Kat has gone to the shooting floors of Merry Christmas, helmed by Badlapur fame Sriram Raghavan. What is shocking is, Katrina will be seen opposite south actor Vijay Sethupathi. Many are in splits over the casting choice of the makers, but producer Ramesh Taurani is confident over the unique pairing of Kat and Vijay.

During an interview with ETimes, Taurani clarified that the casting was finalised as per the requirements of the script and storyline.

"Vijay suited the role perfectly so we approached him for this film. He is a fantastic actor and a big name down South," Taurani was quoted as saying.

Further sharing about selecting the Welcome actress for the character, Taurani added, "Katrina was always our only choice for the role right from the beginning."

Though details about the story plot and characters are yet to be revealed, it is expected that similar to his earlier successful projects like Andhadhun and Badlapur, Raghavan is likely to continue in the same genre.

Apart from that, it is expected, Vijay, well-known for his villainous character portrayal, might be continuing his journey in the same way while Kat will be seen fighting him back in Merry Christmas.
