After several media reports confirmed that Kartik Aaryan is all set to replace Akshay Kumar in the much-awaited movie Hera Pheri 3, the Khiladi actor on Sunday opened up on why he did not want to be a part of the flick.

Speaking during an annual leadership summit of a national media house, Akki said, “The film was offered to me. I was told about it. But, I was not satisfied with the script. I have to do what people want to see and that is why I backed off. I took a step behind.”

Expressing dissatisfaction over lack of creativity in the script, the actor said, “For me it’s a part of my life, my journey. I am very much upset. I am hurt because I am not able to do it. I am hurt how the things have changed. I am not happy with the creative thing for which I backed off.”

Notably, Akshay and Firoz Nadiadwala have had multiple meetings over the last month to get everything in place for these projects. The idea was to revive the three franchises, including Hera Pheri, and bring back the Hindi cinema audience in a big way.

But putting all speculations about the star cast to an end, media reports confirmed that Kartik Aaryan will replace Akshay in the 3rd installment as Raju.
