Kartik Aaryan is in the headlines for his upcoming flicks, Aashiqui 3 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. However, following the buzz of Triptii Dimri joining Kartik in Aashiqui 3, fans are quite excitedly waiting for the updates. Though earlier reports were abuzz about Sara Ali Khan joining Aashiqui 3, there is no official confirmation from the makers.

While currently, Triptii has been dominating the headlines as the lead actress in the movie, the recent update suggests that Aashiqui 3 has got a new name. The movie's name has been changed to 'Tu Aashiqui Hai'.

Tu Aashiqui Hai is based on the 1981 Hindi flick Basera, starring Shashi Kapoor, Rekha, and Rakhee. The makers have planned to go on the floors later this year.

Times Now quoted a close source to the development, revealing, "Kartik and Tripti will be playing the lead roles and the makers are yet to lock another actress for the movie."

If the recent reports are anything to go by, it will certainly increase the anticipation among fans. Moreover, speculations over the second actress will continue until the makers make the final announcement.

According to an earlier report in Pinkvilla, filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt said that the female lead in Aashiqui 3 will be a new face. The producer of the franchise also confirmed that the team has initiated searching for the movie's female protagonist. The script for the movie is being completed and production work will likely begin next year.

Kartik Aaryan was last seen in 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' alongside Kiara Advani. Next, he will be seen in Chandu Champion. Koki recently wrapped up shooting for the film. The movie, helmed by Kabir Khan, is based on the life of India's first Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar. During the India-Pakistan war in 1965, Petkar, a soldier of the craftsman rank in the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) in the Indian Army, suffered debilitating injuries. The injuries rendered him paraplegic. However, he took to swimming as recommended by the doctor and eventually represented India internationally. He won the 50 metres freestyle swimming competition at the 1972 Summer Paralympics in Heidelberg, Germany.

Furthermore, Koki also has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in his kitty which will also star Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit.
