Despite ruling the hearts of millions back in the 90s, the gorgeous Karisma Kapoor’s personal life was an uphill struggle. After her ugly breakup with actor Abhishek Bachchan, she tied the knot with businessman Sunjay Kapur.
However, things started to grow bitter between the two after 11 years of marriage. The couple, who had tied the knot in 2003 in a grand wedding ceremony, parted ways in 2014. However, their divorce was followed by an ugly legal battle over the custody of their children.
The ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’ actress brought serious allegations against Sunjay and shared a disturbing story of their honeymoon and revealed how he tried to force her to sleep with his friends.
She accused him of beating her up and even putting a price tag on her to auction to one of his friends. On the other hand, Sunjay argued that Karisma had married him only for his money. After two years of legal battle, Karisma won the custody of her children Samaira Kapoor and Kiaan Raj Kapoor.
Years have passed by and the ex-couple seems to have forgotten the bad past and moved on in life. Recently, both Karisma and Sunjay were spotted stepping out for dinner together in Mumbai.
Karisma also happily greeted the paps stationed outside the restaurant and waved at them. They were accompanied by their daughter Samaira. Earlier, the couple had come together to celebrate their son’s birthday.
Karisma Kapoor fans are happy that the actress has left her past behind and is moving on in life. On the work front, Karisma is all set to make her comeback in the upcoming web series ‘Brown’, based on Rita Brown, a suicidal alcoholic, and Arjun Sinha, a widower with survivor’s guilt.
She also has ‘Murder Mubarak’ alongside Sara Ali Khan which is scheduled to release in 2024, reports said.
