Kareena Kapoor Khan wants to show 'Jab We Met' with Shahid Kapoor to Taimur and Jeh, not a movie with Saif Ali Khan!
Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most successful actresses. With her versatile performances, she has redefined the portrayal of women in movies. She has gained massive popularity for her iconic roles in different genres, be it romantic, comedy or crime-thrillers. Now, Bebo is hogging the headlines for her recent release 'The Buckingham Murders' in which she plays the role of a detective, investigating the murder of a child, while grappling with the grief of losing her own.
Bebo will be soon celebrating her 25-year-long career in the film industry. She has worked in several blockbusters with a few most notable works. At the ongoing film festival organised by PVR, to celebrate Bebo's silver jubilee, two movies of the actress will be shown- Jab We Met and Omkara.
Well, even after working in around 60 movies throughout her career. However, both her sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, haven't watched any of her movies. Recently at the film festival launch event, when Bebo was asked which film she would like to introduce her filmography to her sons with, the Bodyguard actress picked Jab We Met with Shahid Kapoor.
She said, “I think if I'm going to ask everyone, they're going to say Jab We Met. Omkara would be a bit shocking for them to see, with their father (Saif) in it. So I think Jab We Met. They haven't started watching that. So I think maybe let's start with that.”
Undoubtedly, Bebo prefers to introduce herself as an actress to her sons with her best work. Helmed by Imtiaz Ali, 2007's romantic comedy flick remains one of her best films and her character from the movie 'Geet' became a cult figure. She starred opposite her then-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor and at the event Bebo confessed that she never expected much from the movie as no big name was associated with it.
On the other hand, 2006's Omkara was the Hindi adaptation of William Shakespeare's Othello, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Bebo played the character of Dolly Mishra, who is killed by her husband (Ajay Devgn) and Saif played the role of iconic villain Langda Tyagi.
Well, Taimur and Jeh won't appreciate the movie in which their father plays the villain's role and their mother dies. Jab We Met is indeed a better choice where the star kids will see their mother in a bubbly, energetic, optimistic, positive, emotional, talkative and expressive character.
