Kareena Kapoor, Amesha Patel decades-old fight revealed?

The Koffee with Karan episodes always trigger controversies as Karan has a knack for squeezing out controversial statements from his guests. Many times he manages to hit the sore spots of the celebs by digging out a few forgotten controversies from their past taking them by surprise. In the upcoming episode of Koffee with Karan Season 8, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt are going to be the celeb guests.

From tagging them nanad-bhabhi pair to calling Deepika Padukone the competition of Kareena Kapoor Khan, the host is doing his bit by taking a jibe at his guest. Incidentally, Bebo is now quite a veteran on the show and seems to be prepared for every juggle that Karan is throwing at her. So when he asked the Good Newwz actress why she never showed up for the Gadar 2 success party, Bebo simply refused to answer.

The Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahanhi director even mentioned that it could be because Kareena has a history with Ameesha Patel as earlier the Jab We Met actress was supposed to make her debut in Bollywood opposite Hrithik Roshan with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. However, Bebo chose to instead make her debut with Refugee alongside Abhishek Bachchan.

Kareena had already shot for a few days for Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and had undergone all the necessary preparation for the role. When Rakesh Roshan decided to start the shoot with a song instead of a scene, Bebo’s mother Babita intervened and said that since it was her daughter’s debut movie she must start with a few dialogues to get accustomed to her role.

Rakesh Roshan who had a good relationship with the Kapoors (especially Bebo’s uncle Rishi Kapoor) decided to part ways and avoid conflict. And that is how Ameesha Patel came into the picture. Interestingly, during the promotions of her latest release Gadar 2, Ameesha Patel recalled how Rakesh Roshan called her a blessing in disguise after Kareena left the film.

Years earlier Kareena had also opened up about her reason for leaving the movie saying that Rakesh Roshan gave more time to making sure that Hrithik Roshan looked his best in all the frames whereas not much attention was given to the way Ameesha looked in the film
