Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 wrapped, Rishab Shetty shares BTS stories and glimpses, watch

Actor-director Rishab Shetty has finally wrapped the most ambitious and much-awaited Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1, a prequel to 2022's Kantara. On Monday, the makers announced that the filming concluded after an extensive 250-day shoot. Hombale Films made the announcement with the official making video of Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1. The clip shares the BTS stories and gives glimpses into the making.

The clip starts with glimpses from the shooting set followed by Rishab's preparations for his character in the prequel. In the background, Rishab says, "I had a dream to narrate the story of my village to the whole world. My dream, my village and my people and our belief. Over thousands of people stood up with me when I initiated steps to transform my dream into reality."

Further, Rishab said that three years of relentless dedication, 250 days of shooting, driven by faith and hard work, the shooting of Kantara Chapter 1 has finally wrapped.

The caption for the post read, "The journey doesn't end here... it’s only just beginning. India's Divine Epic Releasing worldwide on October 2nd." (sic)

Rishab said, "This is not just a film, but a divine force."

During an interview with Variety, producer Vijay Kirangadur of Hombale Films said that the massive success of Kantara transformed the trajectory of the production house overnight. Further, he also said that the spiritual resonance of Kantara was a guiding force as they shaped the prequel.

"The audience’s response to ‘Kantara’ gave us clarity, we knew we had to honour that legacy with focused storytelling,” Vijay Kiragandur was quoted as saying.

Further, he added, "We had full faith in Rishab Shetty, the driving force behind ‘Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1.’ Whether it was his acting, writing, or direction, his talent played a pivotal role in shaping everything we created.”

The producer also added that more than just regional, Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 is about Indian storytelling on a global stage.
