Simarjeet Singh Nagra, younger Ashwatthama
Amitabh Bachchan’s younger look in Kalki 2898 AD was created using VFX technology. The movie has taken a lot of references from Mahabharata with Ashwatthama being its central character. Since the entire story revolves around young Ashwatthama getting cursed and the older one waiting from times immortal for his redemption it was important to show both the younger and the older version of Amitabh Bachchan.
Instead of using another actor to represent young Ashwatthama, Nag Ashwin and the team decided to make use of VFX and get a de-aged look of Big B for the screen. But now netizens have dug out a perfect actor who could have been much more suitable as younger Ashwatthama, much better than the VFX version in the flick.
Meet Simarjeet Sing Nagra, who is a Civil Engineer as well as a television and Malayalam film actor. He looks exactly like the younger version of Amitabh Bachchan and many netizens have now started saying that he could have been a good choice for playing the younger version of Ashwatthama. Calling him the “Kalki wale Bachchan saab” and “Jawani ka Ashwatthama” Instagram followers think that Nagra could have been a good option for the younger role.
Looking at the overwhelming response he is getting on social media, Nagra too made a few posts related to his resemblance to young Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD. In one of his posts, he joked saying, “Kesa Laga Young Ashwatthama Kalki ka ?? Young vale Bachchan saab 🤩 Sorry Have To reveal it now.” In a pink turban and a three-piece suit, he looks like Abhishek Bachchan or his brother.
While Prabhas is the lead star of Kalki 2898 AD, Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama has walked away with most of the glory. Although fans of the Rebel star came to the theaters to watch their favourite actor in action, they were blown away by the veteran superstar’s powerful acting.
