We have officially entered June after bidding adieu to May, the month that kept us busy with the Lok Sabha Elections and IPL 2024. While fans are going to be hooked to their TV screens to watch the ongoing T20 World Cup, June will also come with some highly-anticipated movies after an average first quarter at the box office.
Not just Bollywood, some regional movies that are going to release in June look promising and likely to overturn the poor box office records.
Here’s a list of some of the most awaited films that will hit the big screens in June
1. Kalki 2898 AD: One of the most awaited films of the year will see Rebel star Prabhas rock the big screens as Bhairava. The highly anticipated movie also stars Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan. After much delay, the film is scheduled to release on June 27.
2. Ishq Vishk Rebound: Set in the 90s, the film is a sequel to the blockbuster Ishq Vishk that rose Shahid Kapoor to stardom. A reboot of Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao’s 2003 film, the Rebound stars Jibraan Khan, Pashmina Roshan and Rohit Saraf in pivotal roles. It will look to revive the rom-com genre in Bollywood and is all set to release on June 21.
3. Chandu Champion: Starring Kartik Aaryan as a boxer, the film is directed by Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame Kabir Khan. The movie brings to life the inspiring story of Paralympian Murlikant Petkar, who won an individual gold medal in the 1972 Summer Paralympics, Germany. The movie is scheduled to release on June 14.
4. Raayan: Starring National award winning star Dhanush, the film will see him in an action avatar. After a long time, a Tamil biggie will grace the big screens and is all set to release on June 13.
5. Manamey: Starring Telugu heartthrob Sharwanand and Krithi Shetty, Manamey is a family drama and promises to be an entertainer with a dash of emotions. The family drama is all set to hit the big screens on June 7.
