Kalki 2898 AD exclusive: Rashmika Mandanna calls Nag Ashwin genius, major update on sequel revealed

Kalki 2898 AD has reportedly crossed the 300 crore mark worldwide in just a couple of days and may create a record during the weekend. All the Southern celebrities including actors and directors like Prashanth Neel, SS Rajamouli, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Yash, and more have appreciated the film.

Rashmika Mandanna who seems to have watched the movie today is mighty impressed with Kalki 2898 AD. On her official social media handle, Rashoo wrote, “OH MY FREAKING GOD! @nagashwin7 you are a beautiful GENIUS! INCREDIBLE!! Congratulations Kalki. This film deserves all the love and more. Watching our mythical gods come alive on our screens is my favourite part of it.. God!! What a film!!!!”

Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor also appreciated the movie and seemed especially blown away by Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal of Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD. In her post, she wrote, “Kya North, Kya South, Kya East, Kya West, Saara Cinema Ek Taraf, Amitabh Bachchan ek taraf.”

Kalki 2898 AD sequel – 60% of the movie is already done?

There is a strong buzz that almost 60% of the shooting for the sequel has already been done and the rest of the shooting will begin after the hype about Kalki 2898 AD slows down a bit. The producer Ashwani Dutt has confirmed the same and said that only major portions are left and that they are yet to decide on a release date. Currently, the producers and the director are busy enjoying the response to the movie which is expected to touch 1000 crores.

Prabhas fans are expecting this film to break the record of RRR and Baahubali 2. Irrespective of the fact whether this film makes any records or not, it really has blown away the minds of millions of Indian fans who reside in India and abroad. Importantly despite the movie releasing on a working day-Thursday, it opened to a tremendous response worldwide. Comparisons of Kalki 2898 AD with other big hits like Jawan, Pathaan, Animal and Fighter are constantly being made on the social media.

Many Bollywood-favouring critics are saying that the figures released by the producers of Kalki 2898 AD are exaggerated. However, die-hard South Indian movie fans are of the opinion that Bollywood cannot digest the fact that a Southern superstar like Prabhas can become such a huge pan India star and is getting such a stupendous response.

There’s a difference of ₹ 21-23Cr between the trade figures and the producers’ figures of #KALKI2898AD for day-1. The difference of ₹ 3-4Cr is understandable and can be ignored. But when there’s such a massive difference, people will raise questions. This is not the first time.
