Bollywood actress Kajol, known for her stellar performances, is making headlines for a different reason. As per reports, the Bollywood star has purchased a commercial property worth Rs 28.78 crore in Mumbai’s Goregaon West, signalling a growing shift among Bollywood celebrities.

Kajol’s Big Investment in Mumbai

According to official records accessed via IndexTap, Kajol bought a retail space spanning 4,365 sq. ft. on the ground floor of Bharat Arize, located on Linking Road, Bangur Nagar, Goregaon West.

The transaction, registered on March 6, 2025, was completed at a per-square-foot rate of Rs 65,940. She also paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.72 crore for the deal. The property includes five designated parking spots, enhancing its appeal.

Bollywood’s Real Estate Trend

Kajol is not new to real estate investments. In July 2023, she purchased an office space in Andheri West for Rs 7.64 crore, located within the Signature Building on Veera Desai Road. The office spans 194.67 square meters and was bought from Veer Savarkar Projects.

Meanwhile, her husband, actor Ajay Devgn, has also been active in property investments. In May 2024, he leased out a commercial office in Andheri West for a monthly rent of Rs 9 lakh.

Several Bollywood stars have been investing in commercial properties due to their higher rental yields and capital appreciation.

Areas like Bandra, Khar, Lokhandwala, Andheri, and Worli are particularly popular among film stars, not only for investment but also for setting up personal offices and production houses. Real estate experts suggest that such investments provide financial stability and lucrative returns in the long run.
