K-Pop Band BTS has a huge fan following around the world and the septet has been ruling the music world with their superhits like Dynamite, Butter, Fake Love, Fire, and more. BTS with the help of their ARMY has set three new Guinness World Records.
BTS has added three more records to their existing Guinness World Records titles in the last month, according to Guinness World Records’ official website.
The three records are: Most followers on Instagram for a music group, Most followed music group on TikTok and Most followed music group on Twitter.
With 60,151,959 followers on Instagram, BTS has the largest following by any music group on the platform. For the unversed, the previous record was also held by BTS, who initially broke the record in April 2021 with over 40,220,226 followers.
On TikTok, The Bangtan Boys also become the most-followed music group with more than 45.7 million fans. They are also one of the most popular accounts at No. 16.
Last but not the least, BTS ARMY helped the boy band have the highest followers on Twitter for a music group in the history of the platform. With 44.4 million followers, BTS is also the most followed music group. The record was last set by British boyband One Direction, who had over 31.7 million followers in 2017.
With these new records, the K-pop band now has a total of 28 world record titles which were inducted into the Guinness World Records Hall of Fame in September 2021 for their achievements.
