Judwaa! Salman Khan to play double role in Sikandar, check details

David Dhawan's 1997 ‘Judwaa’ starred Salman Khan in a double role. The comedy flick became a blockbuster. And now, Salu is all set for another double role, but this time, in the action genre. Salman will be playing double role in the much-anticipated flick Sikandar, helmed by AR Murugadoss. However, there's a twist.

Directed by Ghanjini fame director, the film has been creating buzz ever since its announcement, with fans eagerly awaiting updates. 

According to a report by ‘Dainik Bhaskar’, Salman Khan will portray a businessman with a dual life in ‘Sikandar’. While one of his characters is a philanthropist and kind-hearted person, the other has a "Dabangg" past, making him a complex and intriguing figure. This dual role is expected to add depth to the film’s narrative.

To heighten the action, the filmmakers have planned a massive action sequence that will involve 10,000 pistols and bullets, as per the report. The sequence will be filmed during a 40-day shooting schedule starting on August 22. This follows the first schedule, where Salman shot a fight scene with the villain's son aboard a private chartered plane.

Reports from ‘Mid-Day’ suggest that the second schedule began in August, with plans to construct a set through the rains. The production team will regroup in mid-August to film more action-packed, crowd-heavy scenes at a new location, continuing to build anticipation for the film.

On April 11, 2024, Salman Khan took to Instagram to officially announce ‘Sikandar’. He shared the film's poster and confirmed that it will release during Eid 2025. In his post, he wrote, “Iss Eid ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ aur ‘Maidaan’ ko dekho aur agli Eid ‘Sikandar’ se aa kar milo...."
