John Abraham meets India’s Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker, picture breaks internet

India’s star shooter, Manu Bhaker, received a grand welcome in India, after making history at the Paris Games 2024. She became the first Indian in the post-Independence era to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympics.

Hundreds of her fans and well-wishers gathered to welcome her after she landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport from Paris. The airport atmosphere was electric, with people beating drums, singing, dancing, and holding banners featuring Bhaker’s photos.

Among the many admirers who met Manu Bhaker was Bollywood star and Vedaa actor John Abraham. The ‘Dhoom’ actor met the double bronze medallist and heaped praises on her by saying that she had made India proud.

Later, John took to Instagram and shared a picture with Manu. In the picture, the two stars can be seen posing with the medals she has earned and smiling at the camera. “Had the pleasure of meeting Manu Bhaker and her lovely family. She has made India proud!! Respect,” John’s caption read.

Talking about Manu, the young Olympian has created history by becoming the first Indian to win medals at the Paris Olympics. On the other hand, John will be next seen in the upcoming action drama film ‘Vedaa’, which also stars Sharvari and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles.

The film is said to be inspired by true events and will be released on the big screens on August 15, on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day.
