After a decade-long wait, the court has decided to pronounce its verdict on actress Jiah Khan’s death case tomorrow i.e. April 28. The verdict will decide the fate of actor Sooraj Pancholi who has been accused of abetment to suicide.

The ‘Hero’ actor was earlier arrested after a suicide letter purportedly written by Jiah was recovered following her death. However, he was later granted bail by the Bombay High Court. As the date of the verdict is inching closer, Pancholi’s family is positive yet anxious, said a report in TOI.

Since her death, Jiah Khan’s mother has alleged that Pancholi and his family mistreated her daughter and accused Sooraj of forcing Jiah for abortions. She called Sooraj the main culprit in her daughter’s death and even accused him of murdering her daughter.

However, Sooraj and his actor parents Zarina Wahab and Aditya Pancholi have maintained that their son is not responsible for her death.
Worth mentioning, Jiah Khan was known for her movies like Ghajini, Housefull and Nishabd. She was only 18 when she acted opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Nishabd. Though the film did not do well at the box office, Jiah shot to fame.

On the other hand, Sooraj had not made his Bollywood debut back then. He was just a starkid and was struggling to get work. If reports are to be believed, Jiah met Sooraj through Facebook and the two embarked on a relationship.

Jiah was found dead on June 3, 2013 at her Juhu home. Her purported suicide letter stated that Sooraj was cheating on her. The case was later handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). All eyes are on the verdict now.
