Needless to say Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan is one of the much-awaited movies of 2023. However, the much-hyped movie has now hogged headlines for wrong reasons soon after Shah Rukh shared the first look of the movie on Friday.

Yes, the film has been mired in controversy after Tamil producer Manickam Narayanan filed a plagiarism complaint against Jawan director Atlee. Narayanan has accused Atlee of copying the story of the film ‘Perarasu’.

Going by the latest report, Narayanan has drawn the attention of Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TFPC) accusing Atlee of plagiarism.

In the complaint, Narayanan alleged that the story of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie Jawan is similar to Vijaykanth’s 2006 film, Perarasu.

Released in September 2006, the Tamil movie was directed by Udhayavan and featured Vijayakanth, Anandaraj and Mansoor Ali Khan.

Set for June 2023 release, the shooting of Jawan is already in full swing. Apart from Shah Rukh, Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu and many others in important roles.

On Friday, Shah Rukh took to twitter to share the first look of the movie.

Sharing the teaser, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “An action-packed 2023! Bringing #Jawan to you, an explosive entertainer in cinemas 2nd June 2023.”

In the clip spanning 1-minute 30 seconds, SRK appeared in bandages in what appears to be a secret hideout full of machine guns, explosive ammo, and some outdated tech.
