Sridevi is regarded as the first female superstar of Indian film industry. The talented actress left an indelible mark on the film industry with her acting prowess, timeless beauty and captivating screen presence. The 'Queen of Indian Cinema' ruled the hearts of moviegoers and the box office. Throughout her illustrious career spanning over four decades, she worked in around 300 films, witnessing the peak in the 1980s and 1990s. However, did you know that Sridevi didn't allow her daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, to watch her movies?

While her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor has cemented her place in the film industry, her younger daughter Khushi Kapoor is all set for her big-screen debut with 'Loveyapa' opposite Junaid Khan.

Amid this, the trailer and songs have received positive reviews, Aamir Khan shared that Khushi's performance in the rom-com reminded him of her mother Sridevi. Well, during a recent interview, Khushi reacted to Aamir's statement and even revealed that her mom never allowed her and her sister to watch her (Sridevi) movies and the reason is obvious.

During a recent chat with Vickey Lalwani, Khushi was asked, "When it comes to your mom's films, I'm sure you've seen almost all of them."

To this, Khushi responded, "Well, she actually wouldn't let us watch them at home, so it was a bit tough."

Further, she revealed the reason why her mom never allowed them to watch her movies and what they did next.

"Yeah, she would just feel a bit shy, so Janhvi and I would have to watch them secretly in a room by ourselves. We did watch a lot of them, there were so many, but we'd have to do it secretly," added Khushi.

Reacting to Aamir's statement, Khushi said that it was very sweet of Mr Perfectionist to say that she reminded him of Sridevi. However, she didn’t know if she would say that to herself. The Archies actress said, “Maybe that's something for other people to notice, but I would never want to go anywhere near that or touch that.”

Loveyapa is set to hit the theatres on February 7, 2025.
