Janhvi Kapoor, who is all set to enthrall her fans with her upcoming movie ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’, recently recalled how she got a panic attack after seeing a tribute video to her late mother and veteran actress Sridevi.

The special act in the memory of Sridevi was put on a dance reality show which Janhvi Kapoor had attended shortly after her mother’s death. Talking to Mashable India, Janhvi recounted that she was unaware that the reality dance show would pay tribute to the late actress.

“So, they played an audio-visual of all my mother’s songs with an emotional voiceover, and these kids started dancing to pay homage. It was beautiful, but I wasn’t ready. I couldn’t breathe anymore. I started howling and crying. I ran off the stage and went to my van. Had a proper panic attack. They obviously cut all that out and instead put up another clip of me clapping and smiling,” Janhvi recalled.

Sridevi passed away the same year Janhvi Kapoor made her acting debut in 2018 with Dhadak. The late actress’ tragic death, just a few months before the release of her debut film, left not just her family but the entertainment industry in shock.

Talking about Mr and Mrs Mahi, the actress has been paired opposite versatile Rajkummar Rao for the first time. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on May 31. Following this, she will appear in Ulajh, which is slated to release on July 5.

Additionally, Janhvi will also feature in the highly anticipated film Devara, opposite Jr. NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
