Actress Janhvi Kapoor is all set for her Telugu debut opposite Jr NTR in Devara. Recently, the makers announced the postponement of the release date which disheartened many. While Janhvi was extremely excited to make her Telugu debut opposite Jr NTR, now, it seems she is ready to continue her journey in the South film industry for a long run.
As per the latest reports, Janhvi has signed her second Telugu flick and she will be seen romancing with Ram Charan. Eminent filmmaker and Janhvi's father Boney Kapoor himself confirmed the same.
Janhvi has been roped in for Ram Charan's next helmed by Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana. Furthermore, Boney also confirmed that she will be collaborating with Suriya as well.
During an interview with iDream Media, Boney said, "My daughter has already shot for a film with Jr NTR. She’s loving every bit of the day she spends on sets here. Soon, she will start a film with Ram Charan too. These two boys are doing very well."
Furthermore, he added, "She has been watching a lot of Telugu films, and she feels blessed to work with them. Hopefully, the films will work, and she will get more work. She will also act with Suriya soon.”
This announcement comes at a time when Janhvi has a busy schedule, including Hindi films Mr and Mrs Mahi and Ulajh.
During the interview, Boney also fondly spoke of his late wife Sridevi.
"My wife (Sridevi) acted in multiple languages, I hope my daughter does the same," said Boney.
However, he regretted not buying a house in Hyderabad for her, a city where they shot many films.
Boney added, "I’ve shot 12 of my films in Hyderabad, back then it was a growing city. When I came back after a few years, the whole city had changed. I used to drive myself around, but now I need someone local to guide me. I wanted to buy a house in Hyderabad for my wife because she worked a lot here. I remember we used to relish a lot of Andhra khaana (food) whenever we were here. Now, I don’t have the heart to.”
Well, Janhvi is going her superstar mother Sridevi's way and will likely leave a mark in Hindi and South film industries. Though an official confirmation is awaited regarding the announcement, Boney's revelation will certainly rejoice her fans.
