The soft-spoken actor once got injured when he was swarmed by his fans who pushed and crushed him which led to a fan frenzy. The popularity of Dhanush had escalated that time as his two movies Kadhal Kondean and Thiruda Thirudi both released in 2003 had become big hits. And in all this chaos, the arm of Dhanush was fractured.

Financial reasons left baby Dhanush malnourished

Even though today Dhanush and his family are well off and are considered one of the eminent families in the South film industry, there was a time when his family was very poor. Due to this, when his mother was pregnant with Dhanush, she could not eat properly and hence the superstar was malnourished at birth and stayed thin for long years.

He started very young as an actor

Dhanush studied only till the 12th standard and did not further pursue his education because by that time he was already in the movies. And interestingly, he found success very early in his life with his debut movie Thulluvadho Ilamai, directed by his father and released in 2002. After that commercial hits become a part of his life.

Multi-talented film personality

Dhanush whose real name is Ventakesa Prabhu is a multi-talented film personality. Apart from being an established actor, he is a National Award-winning producer, director, singer, lyricist, and whatnot. He has won two National Awards for acting and another two National Awards as a producer making him the proud winner of 4 National Awards in total.

Never wanted to be an actor

Despite the fact that his father was in the Tamil film industry, he never thought of becoming an actor or venturing into cinema in any way. He was rather planning to enter the field of Hotel Management. But destiny had some other designs for him.
