Gaurav Khanna has been an integral part of Rajan Shahi's TV show ‘Anupamaa’ for quite some time now, essaying the character of Anuj Kapadia, which is adored by many.
However, recent rumours had suggested that Gaurav was planning to quit the popular television serial, with speculations even hinting at Anuj's demise in
‘Anupamaa,’ starring Rupali Ganguly in the lead role. However, Gaurav has dismissed all speculations and clarified that he is completely committed to the show.
"Recent rumours of my exit from 'Anupamaa' left my fans upset and disheartened. However, I want to clarify that the rumours are completely untrue," Gaurav said, addressing the speculations.
"I don’t know where this has popped up from. I don’t see any truth to this because I am completely committed to my show. I don’t know any such thing yet. There is no base in this news. A lot of fake news surface online these days. I understand that people have their own thoughts when they love a show, but this piece of news is not at all true," he told Hindustan Times.
Gaurav further urged his fans to continue watching the show, highlighting the hard work put in by the ‘Anupamaa’ team.
Responding to whether such rumours affect him, Gaurav mentioned that he has been on television for a long time and knows how to deal with fake news. "I have been on television for a long time now, and I know how to deal with fake news. It's better not to respond to such news. However, this time, I addressed the speculations as they spread like wildfire on the internet."
‘Anupamaa’ created by Rajan Shahi, also stars Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma, and Nidhi Shah, among others.
