Inspiring journey of Odia youth from Daringbadi to Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2

Born and brought up in Odisha’s tribal-dominated Kandhamal district, Barun Bisoi’s humble background couldn’t stop him from dreaming big. His passion for Bollywood took him to Mumbai, where he is making Odisha proud and bringing laurels to the state.

Barun Bisoi is currently working as a foley artist in Mumbai and his latest work is Sunny Deol’s latest release and blockbuster movie Gadar 2. The Odisha lad has been receiving appreciation for his amazing work in the blockbuster movie.

With his achievements and hard work, he is making his mother proud who battled every odd to give him a safe childhood after his father’s death. Growing up, Barun had to face several obstacles due to abject poverty. He had to work as a tailor from his teenage to extend a helping hand to his widowed mother who did odd jobs to make both ends meet.

However, he had bigger dreams and his dreams took him to Mumbai, the city of dreams. After initial years of struggle when he worked as a canteen boy, Barun found success as a foley artist in Mumbai and there has been no turning back for him.

He has been part of several hit movies and worked as a foley artist. His widowed mother served as his inspiration and today she is a proud mother.

“We went to a temple and offered prayers before he set off to Mumbai. He took my blessings and embarked on his journey. I feel so proud of him when people show me his work. He is such an extraordinary talent,” said his mother filled with pride.
