Indian Idol Fame Prajakta Shukre Opens Up On Kangana Ranaut

Indian Idol 1’s popular singer Prajakta Shukra reunited with Kangana Ranaut for Thalaivi. Her first song for the Queen was Dankila in Manikarnika: The Quen of Jhansi which was highly appreciated.In Thalaivi, Prajakta is crooning Teri Aankhon Mein for Kangana in collaboration with Armaan Malik.

Spilling beans on giving playback to the Tanu Weds Manu actress Prajakta Shukre said that she is yet to meet the Bollywood star personally but whatever she has heard from people and her interviews and gathered through Kangana’s movies, she can relate to her because Prajakta herself comes from a small town just like the actress.

Prajakta generously praised the controversial superstar for making it big in Bollywood on her own and inspiring others. That is one of the reasons why the reality show singer finds Kangana’s journey amazing and would like to sing more songs for her in the future.

Along with Indian idol 1 winner Abhijeet Sawant and runner-up Rahul Vaidya, Prajakta Shukre was one of the most popular contestants on the show. Talking about her journey, the singer said that earlier she thought that she is lagging behind but now with experience and age, Prajakta has understood that every person has his own timing and pace in his career and needs to come to terms with it.

The show helped her relocate to a big city like Mumbai from a small town and realise her dreams.

Prajakta Shukre was highly appreciated for her singing during her stint on Indian Idol 1 and Sonu Nigam, who was one of the judges on the show, even once said that Alka Yagnik liked her singing.

While Abhijeet and Rahul became star singers in a very short time, it took Prajakta a few years more to gain recognition.
