In the early 2000s, many actors knocked on the doors of the Indian film industry to woo audiences but only a few were able to establish a strong position for themselves and one of those emerging heroes was John Abraham who stormed the silver screen with his mesmerizing cold look, and strong persona.
John, who has been around the cine-verse for more than two decades, started his career as a model and got his first chance to showcase a glimpse of his acting talent in famous Punjabi singer Jazzy B’s song “SURMA” in 2000.

He bagged the IIFA Award for the Best Villain category. The film also enjoyed the status of featuring the best theme score, making playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan win the IIFA Award for Best female playback singer and a Filmfare award nomination in the same category.

John is widely known for experimenting with genres and has established himself as a versatile actor well suited in all roles. He has starred in more than 60 movies and his recent projects include Mumbai Saga (2021), Satyameva Jayate 2 (2021), Attack (2022), and, Ek Villain Returns (2022).
The actor will be seen starring alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and top-actress Deepika Padukone in their upcoming movie Pathaan (2023).
