Ileana D’Cruz, who is known for her bubbly self and gorgeous body, recently opened up about her struggle with body image issues and suicidal thoughts which she had in the past.

Ileana in an interview with Bollywood Hungama spoke about them and clarified that the reports which stated that she had suicidal thoughts due to her 'body image issues' were completely false and baseless.

The Barfi actress revealed that she had been self-conscious about her body from a very young age but the suicidal thoughts had nothing to do with it.

“Yes, I was very self-conscious, that is one aspect. The other aspect is about being suicidal bit, it is a very sensitive topic and there has been a time in my life when I hit a very low point in my life. I did get to a situation where I was thinking about it. But it was not related to body issues, it was related to other issues," said Ileana.

She further revealed that music helped her get better and healed her. She feels there is music for every mood and it surely makes you feel better.

Notably, this is not the first time Ileana has spoken about facing body-shaming... earlier in 2017, she had accepted battling depression and 'Body Dysmorphic Disorder' in an Instagram video.

On the work front, Ileana was last seen in a song named Ooo Ooo, which was composed and sung by Qaran with lyrics by Qaran and Siddhesh Patole. She will next be seen in Unfair And Lovely alongside Randeep Hooda. The film explores India’s obsession with fair skin.
