Bollywood ‘Maharani’ Huma Qureshi, who is currently basking in the success of her most recently released action film Valimai, is ready to do Ollywood movies if she gets a good script.

At ‘OTV Foresight 2022’, which was held in Bhubaneswar on Friday, Qureshi said that regional films have the potential to break barriers of language and culture.

On being asked by audience if she would ever do an Odia movie, Huma revealed that she was not averse to acting in an Odia movie, provided the script is good.

“Why not? Send me a good script and I will do it,” she said. The Bollywood actress also revealed that she watches a number of regional films on recommendations by her friends.

“Recently I watched some Malayalam movies on the basis of recommendations. I am sure that you people are making some wonderful Odia films. I will really appreciate watching those movies and educate myself if you give me a list,” she said.

Huma further said, “The context of the movie matters to me. If I am watching a regional movie I would like to see the culture, music and lives of the people in the area, their hopes and sufferings,” she added.
