Amid the film’s disappointing performance, social media buzz erupted claiming Hrithik had unfollowed Tarak on Instagram. Media reports also suggested possible tension between the two stars. However, the truth is something else.

Multiple fact-checks clarified that Hrithik never followed Jr NTR to begin with, so the 'unfollow' narrative is misleading. 

On Reddit and fan forums, users also pointed out that the story was being exaggerated for clicks.

Meanwhile, neither Hrithik Roshan nor Jr NTR has issued any statement regarding this matter. All reports of a rift remain unconfirmed speculation.

War 2's Box Office Performance

According to Yash Raj Films (YRF), the action-packed spy thriller War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, grossed approximately Rs 300.50 crore worldwide in its first five days of release. Of this impressive global haul, Rs 240 crore came from the Indian market, while about Rs 60.50 crore was earned through overseas territories.

YRF’s collection poster indicates that War 2 accumulated Rs 240 crore gross domestically, with a reported nett collection of Rs 196.5 crore in India during the same period.

While these numbers suggest a strong initial financial response, industry analysts note that the film’s box office trajectory experienced a sharp decline early on, reflecting a disconnect between audience expectations and sustained performance.
