And, it was Sallu who helped him to prepare for Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai. Salman's guidance and belief in Hrithik's potential helped him to emerge as a phenomenon.
Recently, an old video of Hrithik surfaced in which he recalled his initial days and opened up how Salman played a pivotal role in his early career.
In the throwback video from 'Rendezvous With Simi Garewal', Duggu talked about the challenges he came across as an inexperienced actor. He said, "Things got decided that I was going to be in Dad's next film. There was no time, I was skinny as hell. I was half of this. So, you can imagine."
Having less time in hands for preparations, he reached out to Salman, whom he believed to be the best.
"I just called him up just out of the blue. I had to remind him who I was...he just took me in," said the War actor.
The Mission Kashmir actor also added that not just Salman helped him with his training but also motivated him during tough times.
"Along with training me, the moral support that he gave me was incredible. He was one of the few people who really believed that I would be a phenomenon," said Hrithik.
Undoubtedly, Hrithik is a phenomenon and among the highest-paid Indian actors.
Further, he also debunked the rumours of competition or insecurity. Hrithik acknowledged that Salman always pushes him and he is like a brother.
