Housefull 5: Sajid Nadiadwala shells out crores for Yo Yo Honey Singh's Laal Pari!
Renowned filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala and his Housefull 5 team landed in a major controversy after the recently released teaser of the upcoming movie was pulled down from YouTube following a copyright issue. According to a recent report, Sajid was forced to shell out crores of money for Yo Yo Honey Singh's Laal Pari to buy the rights from three music labels.

Yo Yo Honey Singh Sold Rights of Laal Pari To Multiple Banners?
According to an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, Yo Yo Honey Singh promised the song to multiple music labels without keeping anyone in the loop. Reportedly, he also sold the same song to multiple banners.
The report quoted a close source to the development as saying, "Sajid Nadiadwala first bought rights from Dinesh Productions, followed by Zee Music, and now, after receiving a copyright claim from Mofusion Music Studio, he has been forced to buy the rights from them as well."
The source also revealed that the scenario arises because Yo Yo Honey Singh promised the song to multiple music labels without keeping anyone in the loop.
As the source revealed, Sajid, Bhushan Kumar (T Series) and Akshay Kumar loved the song composed by Singh. After learning that the rights remain with Dinesh Productions, Sajid bought the rights at a hefty amount. Later, when the song was released, Zee Music claimed rights to the tune. The filmmaker settled the issue by spending some more money. However, the latest copyright strike from Mofusion Music Studio came as a shock to Sajid.
Laal Pari Hook Steps Copied Too?
Well, it's not just the song, but the dance step in Laal Pari is also allegedly copied. Social media influencer Sandip Brahamin accused the Laal Pari choreographer of copying his signature step of head shaking.
Notably, Sandip is known for his 'popping' style and is widely recognised for his unique and energetic dance performance. He has also won the 'originality' category in Romania's Got Talent. He boasts huge followers on social media, and he frequently posts his dance videos in which he mostly does his hook steps.
In Laal Pari, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh and many others are seen doing similar dance steps. Notably, the song is choreographed by Remo D'Souza.

Sandip alleged that his hook steps have been copied, and they (the Housefull 5 team) haven't given him the due credit.
