Binging on OTT web series and movies during weekends is now a new normal with people trying to keep safe amid the threat of Corona. And with New Year and Christmas just around the corner, you definitely would like to catch up on some hot and interesting releases on OTT that you somehow missed watching.

So here’s a list that you need to check out:

Nail Polish (Zee5)

Some of the most sensational OTT releases that you must watch if you missed it earlier are Nail Polish, Kaagaz, Bhoomi, and Tandav. Led by Arjun Rampal Nail Polish is inspired by true incidents and is all about the killing of 36 migrant children near Lucknow and investigations surrounding it.

Kaagaz (ZEE5)

Kaagaz stars Pankaj Tripathi in the lead and is based on the life of a farmer and his struggle after losing his identity. It is a story based on the real-life of a farmer named Lal Bihari from Azamgarh, Bihar.

Bhoomi (Disney + Hotstar)

Bhoomi is based on a NASA scientist and astronaut who return to his native village in India and on learning about injustice to farmers he starts a revolution. It reminds you of the way Shah Rukh Khan returned to his village and fought for the welfare of his folks in Swades.

Tandav (Amazon Prime Video)

With a stellar star cast of Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia and Sunil Grover and directed by Abbas Ali Zafar, the series was all about dirty politics. It created a lot of uproar due to the alleged wrong depiction of certain characters.

Tribhanga (Netflix)

This social drama flick is all about three women led by Mithila Parker, Kajol, and Tanvi Azmi and takes inspiration from odyssey dance poses.

The White Tiger (Netflix)

The story is about a village boy who moves up the social ladder to become successful. It starred Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao in the lead and is about the setbacks that economically backward people have to face when they aim to reach higher.

Drishyam 2 (Amazon Prime Video)

The first movie from the Drishyam franchise was a big hit and even its remake with the same title and led by Ajay Devgn was a super-duper hit. The second installment from this originally Malayalam franchise hit the OTT platform this year and once again managed to win hearts. The buried secrets and more mystery that was not even mentioned in the first part unraveled in this sequel.

Bombay Begums (Netflix)

Pooja Bhatt’s second OTT release after Sadak 2, this series is about five women who belong to different generations but somehow find a common ground during their struggle.

Silence (ZEE5)

This whodunit movie led by Manoj Bajpayee is about a woman who mysteriously vanishes after leaving her home for doing some small errand. The investigation starts when her body is found by a team of hikers.

The Big Bull (Disney + Hotstar)

Abhishek Bachchan and Ileana D’Cruz led The Big Bull are about the Harshad Mehta Scam that hit the country in 1992. Although Prateik Gandhi’s Scam 1992 based on the same story was a big hit, Junior B did manage to wow the audience with his personal charm.

Bhuj: The Pride of India (Disney + Hotstar)

The stellar star cast of Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, and Parineeti Chopra created a lot of hype during the release of this film. The story revolves around how an IAF officer reconstructs an airstrip with the help of 300 local women during the 1971’s Indo-Pakistan War.

The Family Man Season 2 (Amazon Prime Video)

One of the most talked-about OTT releases of this year, The Family Man 2 also marked the debut of Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the world of Hindi entertainment. She also won an award for her marvelous portrayal of Raji. As usual, Manoj Bajapayee was superb in this action thriller.

Shershaah (Amazon Prime Video)

Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, the movie is based on the real-life of Captain Vikram Batra who laid down his life for the country. The songs and romance of Sid and Kiara were the highlights of Shershaah.
