Bollywood actor Sunny Deol’s recent release ‘Gadar 2: The Katha Continues’ has emerged as one of the most successful movies post the pandemic era. Sunny, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma have reprised their roles in the sequel to 2001’s blockbuster flick ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ and have been receiving high praise and appreciation from all quarters since the day of release.

Sunny and Ameesh’s captivating onscreen chemistry, actions and fascinating storytelling have impressed cine lovers a lot. Not just commoners, Sunny’s entire family, including Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Bobby, Esha and Ahana Deol, are also extremely elated about the movie’s grand success.

Recently, veteran actress Hema Malini recalled asking Sunny to come up with his best film. She also talked about her family’s equation with Sunny’s.

During an interview with News 18 Showsha, Dream Girl shared that she often asked him to make his ‘best film.’ She was quoted as saying, “People love Sunny a lot. They wanted him. I also used to tell him you have to do the best one now. Karna Padega. He would say, ‘Haan haan, mein karunga.’ He is very sweet. And he did this picture and I am so thrilled about it. He has got so much appreciation, so much publicity, very nice. Each and every scene was so good.”

Further, she also reacted to the reunion of her daughters Esha and Ahana with Sunny and Bobby at the special screening of Gadar 2. For the unversed, the special screening was organised by Esha herself and the siblings shared a warm moment together while posing for the paparazzi.

Talking about the reunion, the Dream Girl said, “I am feeling very happy, I do not feel it is something new because it is very normal. Many times they keep coming home and all but we do not publish it anywhere, we are not the type to take pictures and immediately put it up on Instagram. We are not that kind of a family.”
“We are all very much together, always together. So, the press got it and it is nice, they are happy about it, and I am also happy,” she added.

Earlier, Hema was spotted walking out of a theatre in Mumbai after watching Gadar 2. When asked, she couldn’t resist herself from showering praises for the film. The actress-turned-politician said that Gadar 2 met her hopes and brought back memories of the 70s and 80s. She showered praises for director Anil Sharma and termed Sunny’s performance as ‘superb.’ She also praised Utkarsh and Ameesha and mentioned that even after 22 years, Sunny and Ameesha’s onscreen chemistry still looks fresh and the duo looked charming while delivering remarkable performance.
