The ever-charismatic and charming Varun Dhawan turns a year older today. One of the most popular actors of the young generation, he has delivered several hit movies since his debut through Karan Johar’s Student of the Year.

Varun was born to director David Dhawan and homemaker mother Karuna Dhawan on April 24, 1987. Although he belongs to a filmy background, Varun Dhawan has established himself through his own talent and extraordinary acting skills.

With critically-acclaimed movies like October and Badlapur, he has done a variety of roles in his career and carved a niche for himself. As the Bhediya actor celebrates his birthday today, let’s take a look at some of his interesting upcoming projects.

1.    Citadel – The ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ actor is all set to make his digital debut with Amazon Prime Video’s new web series ‘Citadel’, an Indian installment of Citadel franchise created by Russo Brothers. The gorgeous Samantha will be seen playing the lead opposite Varun.
2.    Bawaal – Apart from Citadel, Varun Dhawan has Bawaal with Dangal and Chhichhore fame director Nitesh Tiwari. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film will pair up Varun with Janhvi Kapoor for the first time.
3.    Bhediya 2 – After the stupendous success of Bhediya, Varun Dhawan is all set to return in Bhediya 2. The announcement of the movie was recently made by Jio Studios.
4.    Call Me Bae – Varun also has another web series ‘Ball Me Bae’ opposite Ananya Panday. The series will be released on Amazon Prime Video.

Apart from movies and web series, Varun Dhawan was supposed to be seen in period drama ‘Ranbhoomi’ and ‘Mr Lele’. However, if reports are to be believed, the actor has opted out of both flicks.

Similarly, the actor was supposed to pair up with Badlapur fame director Sriram Raghavan in a biopic, titled ‘Ekkees’, but backed out of the film due to multiple delays.
