It is the birthday of stunning Deepika Padukone, the leading lady of Bollywood. Since her debut in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’, she has come a long way and established herself as one of the highest-paid actresses in the film industry.
After Kajol, she is one of the few actresses who have done four to five films with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. As the actress turns a year older today, let’s take a look into her journey in the film industry and her family plans with hubby Ranveer Singh.
While many know that Deepika made her Bollywood debut with SRK’s ‘Om Shanti Om’, she began her acting career with Kannada feature film Aishwarya in 2006. Till date, she has acted in over 35 films including hits like Cocktail, Chennai Express, Ram Leela, Piku, Padmaavat, Bajirao Mastani, Pathaan and Jawan among others.
In 2024, the Jawan actress has a lot of high-budget films lined up for release. She will be seen romancing Hrithik Roshan for the first time in Fighter. The action-drama patriotic movie is scheduled to release on Republic Day.
She also has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahamastra: Part 2 – Dev where she will be seen portraying the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s (Shiva’s mother). This apart, she is going to start 2024 with a bang as the sexy siren will now romance Prabhas in Kalki.
On the other hand, Deepika has also joined the crime drama franchise of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. She will essay the role of Shakti Shetty, the first female police officer in the cop universe series. Earlier, the makers of the movie had released a poster of Deepika in which she can be seen in her police uniform, looking fierce and unhinged as she holds a goon at gunpoint.
Most importantly, Deepika Padukone might be a big part of Mahesh Babu and director SS Rajamouli’s upcoming movie. The much-awaited film is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs 1000 crore and will go on floors in the summer of 2024.
However, no concrete announcements have been made yet about Deepika Padukone’s role in the film.
