Makeup artist controversy

Years ago, Anuskha, also fondly called Sweety, was involved in a makeup artist controversy when the members of the Make-up Artist Union opposed her for hiring a makeup man from another state who was not a member of the Union.

Instead of removing her makeup artist after an uproar from the Tamil Film Workers Union, she simply decided to start doing her makeup.

The controversy was triggered when she was shooting for Karthi’s Alex Pandian. When around 30 makeup artists from the union protested against Anushka Shetty for hiring a makeup professional outside the state, Karthi stepped in and tried to resolve the issue. But this stand of the workers whom she used to give elaborate gifts during the shooting hurt her, and Anushka instead started doing her makeup.

She was very hurt by the entire incident, especially after the workers hurled abuses at her, and decided not to give them any gifts. But her unit driver who has always been very kind and humble received a car as an expensive gift from Anushka Shetty after the movie's shooting was completed.

Anushka Shetty, who is a graduate of Computer Science was a teacher in a school and had thought that it would be her career for the rest of her life. But later on, she learned Yoga from Bharat Thakur and started working as a Yoga teacher. It was here that she was noticed by some influential people from the Southern film fraternity and Anushka Shetty got her first movie.

Over the years, Sweety has been linked with a few stars the prominent ones being Nagarjuna Akkineni and Prabhas. Nevertheless, eventually, her affair rumours with the Shiva actor fizzled out as they were baseless, her connection and bonding with her Baahubali co-star Prabhas continue to date.
