Before the release of Adipurush, Manoj during an interview had claimed that they haven’t distorted Ramayan in Adipurush. It is the same Ramayan that people have heard and read.

However, after facing brutal criticism, Manoj claimed that they haven’t made Ramayan. Rather, Adipurush is inspired from Ramayan, which they have clarified in the disclaimer.

Manoj’s fresh statement has indeed fuelled the anger of a section of the audience and resentment against the movie is on the rise. Even, several outfits have called for a ban on Adipurush for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.
