Guess who is the Sexiest Man of 2022, and no, he is not James Bond

The People Magazine has named 41-year-old Chris Evans the “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2022. The magazine announced Monday night that Evans earned the honour and its corresponding cover. He is the successor to last year's champ and fellow Avenger, Paul Rudd, who plays the superhero character of Ant-Man. 

Prior to Rudd's official announcement last year, Chris Evans was rumoured to have won the title, surprising many fans. He now steps into the shoes of superhero film stars like Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool and Green Lantern), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and most recent superhero Dwayne Johnson (Black Adam).

Apart from these superhero film stars, personalities like Michael B. Jordan, David Beckham, John Legend, Bradley Cooper, Hugh Jackman, Matt Damon and many more have been the titleholders of “Sexiest Man Alive”. Superstars like Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp have also held the title in the past.

According to Evans, his mother would be happy to learn about his accomplishment. However, he fears his friends will bully him now. The actor also mentioned that though his mother is proud of everything he does, his recent achievement is something that she will boast about. Chris went on to say that he wanted to put aside acting for a while and devote himself to marriage and fatherhood.

In the meantime, Evans' most recent film appearance was in the Russo Brothers' ‘The Gray Man’. Ryan Gosling and he faced each other in the film which had a Netflix premiere. Aside from that, Evans has garnered attention for playing Buzz Lightyear in the 2022 film ‘Lightyear.’ Apple TV+ film ‘Ghosted’ is Evans’ upcoming project and pairs him with ‘Knives Out’ co-star Ana de Armas.
