Govinda and Sunita Ahuja separation rumours: Actor's wife filed for divorce 6 months ago but...

The reports of Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja's divorce after 38 years of marriage shook the internet. The recent statements made by Sunita and admitting about living in separate houses fuelled the buzz. After the reports of divorce took the internet by storm, the actor's manager responded to the rumours and stated that the reports of Sunita filing for divorce were being floated to gain public mileage. Meanwhile, recently Govinda's lawyer cleared the air and stated that the actor's wife did file for a divorce but the couple is back together.

Govinda's Lawyer Spills it All

Actor Govinda's lawyer Lalit Bindal, during an interview with India Today, admitted that Sunita Ahuja did file for a divorce six months ago. However, things were later resolved. Bindal also revealed that they together travelled to Nepal during the New Year and performed puja at Pashupatinath Temple.

Bindal was quoted as saying, "Everything is fine between them now. Such things keep happening between couples, but they are going strong and will always be together.”

He also dismissed the reports of the couple living separately. Bindal clarified that the actor had bought a bungalow after becoming an MP for official use. The property is located opposite the flat where they have lived since their marriage. Further, Bindal explained that the actor sometimes attends meetings there and occasionally stays overnight.

Sunita's Statement on Podcast Was Misinterpreted!

Bindal also addressed Sunita's appearances on podcasts. He stated that her quotes were selectively picked and misinterpreted.

Here's What Govinda's Manager Said

Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha, during an interview with IANS, said, "Yes, she has sent a legal notice in the court. I am aware of that. But there is no concrete matter as to what it is. The legal notice hasn’t yet reached us."

Further, he added that Sunita has been doing such acts, which intrigue the audience with regards to Govinda, for the past few days.

Sinha also said that Govinda lives in the bungalow for most of the time while Sunita lives in a flat but there isn't any lack of interest on the actor’s part when it comes to looking after Sunita and his family.
