Govinda's claims on Avatar 'exposed' by wife Sunita Ahuja, 'Main jhooth nahi bolungi...'

Years ago, Bollywood's yesteryear superstar Govinda made shocking claims of being offered a role in James Cameron's Avatar with Rs 21.5 crore remuneration. The actor also claimed that he was the one who suggested the film's title. However, he turned down the offer for health reasons. Well, recently, Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja has seemingly 'exposed' her husband and his claims on Avatar.

Here's What Sunita Ahuja Said

During a recent interview with Uorfi Javed, Sunita Ahuja was asked if it's true that James Cameron offered Avatar to Govinda. Sunita, who is known for being candid and quite bold in her confessions, said, "Arey yaar, mujhe nahi patta kan offer huyi. 40 saal toh mujhe ho gaye Govinda ke saath. Avatar ka director, producer, kab aaya mujhe nahi malum." 

Further, she added, "Huyi bhi hai ke nahi, I don't know. Main jhooth nahi bolti na main chugli karungi idhar na main kiska side lungi. Main jhooth ka saath nahi dungi."

When she was asked if Govinda would ever join a reality show like 'The Traitors', she said, "Govinda pehle picture karle, bahut kaafi hai. Hum wait kar rahe hain ke kan picture karega woh."

Govinda's Claims On Avatar

Notably, during his appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, Govinda claimed, "I have left an offer of Rs 21.5 crore, and I remember this because it was very painful leaving it. I have given the film's title- Avatar. James told me the hero in the film was handicapped, so I said, I am not doing the film. He offered me Rs 18 crore for it and said I would be required to shoot for 410 days. I said that is okay, but if I paint my body, I will be in the hospital."

He also claimed that he turned down the offer for health reasons.

"Our body is the only instrument we have...at times, some things appear very appealing professionally, but you also have to see their effects on your body," he added.
