An FIR has been filed against Jatra actor Daitari Panda by Rajadhani Media House's Chief Executive Hara Prasad Barik for violating an agreement after receiving advance payment.

As per reports, the famous opera house in Odisha, Parbati Gananatya had made an advance payment of Rs 15 lakh to Panda. As per the contract, Panda had to join other artistes for rehearsal after accepting the advance payment. However, the actor didn't show up even after 15 days.

"The noted actor had signed a contract to join the concerned opera house for 2022-23. He had received half of his total payment in advance. However, he demanded the full payment in advance and the owner of the opera house failed to make the payment and expressed his inability. He was scheduled to join the party by June 21 but he absconded and didn't show up," said Barik.

"After waiting for 15 days, a notice was released against him through newspapers and an FIR has been filed," he added.

On the other hand, Panda had a different story to narrate. Panda said, "The complaint filed against me is completely false. They haven't paid me a single penny. Moreover, I am not hiding. I had made it clear that I won't join their opera house for 2022-23. They ignored my statement and forced me to join. They approached me at my residence as well as through phone call for the same."

"Currently, I have joined Konark Gananatya and have been rehearsing for a play. Every media house is well aware of this but they are not. I haven't signed any contract with them and nor have I received any money from them. The allegations are completely false and they are trying to frame me," added Panda.
