‘Ex-Manager took advantage of…’: Arjun Reddy actress Shalini Pandey makes shocking revelations

‘Maharaj’ actress Shalini Pandey, popularly known for Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Arjun Reddy’ has made some shocking revelations. The actress, who was recently seen in Maharaj with superstar Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan, opened up about being taken advantage of her naïve nature by her ex-manager.

“I was new and down South I didn’t understand the language, and my managers at that time just took advantage of my naivety and made me do things,” Shalini recalled while speaking to India Today.

“I was really body-shamed. I was constantly trying to understand what people wanted from me. Even now, I get shamed by people,” she added.

She also revealed how she had fled away from her home to pursue her passion for acting.

“My father wanted me to do engineering. I even tried it, but I wasn’t able to do it. And my papa just wouldn’t agree to let me try acting. I tried to convince my father for four years and eventually made the decision to run away. Now it seems like a joke but at that time, it was very difficult. So I ran away,” Shalini revealed.

She also recalled how she had nowhere to go when she landed in Mumbai. She had to share a place with boys who eventually became her family. Even after becoming a successful actress, she considers their friendship very special.

Apart from Arjun Reddy, Shalini is also known for movies like 100% Kadhal, Mahanati, 118 and Hindi film Jayeshbhai Jordaar with Ranveer Singh.
