Emraan Hashmi wanted to do this role in Ranbir Kapoor-Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘Animal’

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ is undeniably one of the most watched and highest grossing movies of last year. The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer created a cinematic sensation, smashing several box office records. The revengeful drama captured widespread attention, boosting the cast’s fame despite some negative reviews.

While many felt the film was too aggressive and misogynist, many movie lovers found the movie entertaining and were impressed with the performances of Ranbir, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri.

Among the many who were impressed with the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film is the handsome hunk Emraan Hashmi. The ‘Gangster’ actor recently shared his admiration for ‘Animal’ and expressed his desire to have been part of the movie.

In a candid interview with Instant Bollywood, Emraan shared his thoughts on ‘Animal’ and said, “Despite the backlash and mixed opinions, I really enjoyed it and would have loved to be a part of it.”

“I understand the reasons behind the backlash, but I generally watch films from the audience’s point of view. There were certainly questionable elements, but Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s unique vision and execution were noteworthy,” Hashmi added.

He heaped praises on Ranbir Kapoor for his commendable performance, and would have loved to play his part, especially portraying a complex character with gray shades.

On the professional front, Emraan is preparing to make his Telugu debut in Sujeeth’s action thriller ‘They Call Him OG.’ He was last seen in Karan Johar’s web series ‘Showtime’.
